Important Information for BDA Congress
Bournemouth Prepares to Welcome the BDA Congress

The British Deaf Association’s big event of the year will take place 6-10th April, as BDA members join with the Deaf community to descend upon Bournemouth for the charity’s 120th Anniversary Congress.

Bournemouth will be buzzing with activity as people congregate at the Royal Bath Hotel for a week of activities, workshops and fun based around the ‘Deaf Time Machine’ theme.

BDA members can enjoy FREE entry to this special Congress but must book a place, as tickets are limited. If you’re not already a member of the BDA then now is the time to join!

The Congress is guaranteed to be a great event, with activities for all the family, a variety of workshops you won’t want to miss, evening entertainment which includes Grand Bingo and a Costume Festival, a day-trip out to Monkey World and childcare provided for those that need it.

The BDA has announced that it will be combining the BDA Broadway evening and the Gala Dinner, which will now take place as one event on Friday 9th April.

This is due to Saturday’s entertainment clashing with other events of interest to the Deaf community, namely City Lit’s Deaf Day, to which the BDA would like to show its support.

The Friday evening will now be bursting at the seams as two nights’ entertainment are rolled into one and will include: a 3-course Gala Dinner, international dance company the Wild Zappers, acclaimed Deaf magician Alex Jobson, signed poetry, plus much, much more!*

More/… If you haven’t already booked your place for 6th-10th April or would like to get tickets for the BDA Gala Dinner on Friday 9th April (priced at £35), please go to: www.bdacongress2010.org.uk and click on ‘Registration’. Alternatively you can email congress2010@bda.org.uk
