Isn’t watching television a bit dull for deaf people?
Answer : With teletext television, many programmes are now subtitled. This service is available by keying 888 on the text remote pad. Deaf related news, events and information are available through Ceefax BBC 2 page 640 "Read Hear" and Oracle Channel 4 page 467 "Deafview". In addition, there are a small number of specialist deaf programmes, including "See Hear" on BBC 1 on Saturday mornings which covers topics of interest and value to Deaf people’s lives, presented by Deaf sign language users.
