Any ideas how to put pressure on Local authority to get Sign Language Classes free of charge for parents of deaf children?
My friend had to pay for hers and was in a class with people there for different reasons but not paying. Eg on benefits or having the classes paid for by their employers. This doesnt seem fair.

Ask the social worker for Deaf to sort this out.
My freind works as a BSL tutor and teaches parents of Deaf children. She set up a group meeting at parents houses. Social services pay for her travel and actual pay and resources.

If you need a tutor she is contactable on

N_bsl_tutor@yahoo.co.uk

Thanks
